You're Invited: Vision Zero Working Meeting (June 7th)

Join us on June 7th as we work on our Vision Zero database!

Our working meeting will be held on June 7th at the LeRoy Collins Library to make progress on the Vision Zero project. This meeting is open to anyone with any type of skillset – from programmers to event planners and writers. If you can, please bring a laptop with you.

At this meeting, we'll:

  • build a data processing pipeline to clean, store, and visualize existing data
  • manually enter coordinates for data points missing this information
  • draft stories and social media posts using existing data

WHAT: Meeting to work on the Vision Zero database.

WHEN: June 7, 2023, 6pm.

WHERE: Magnolia Room (2nd floor) at the LeRoy Collins Library, 200 W Park Ave, Tallahassee, FL 32301.

What is Vision Zero?

Vision Zero is a safety initiative that aims to achieve a roadway system with zero fatalities or serious injuries. We've already built a demo of the map! Check it out here.

What will opentlh do with this information?

We firmly believe data that involves and impacts the public should be freely available, however, it's not. That's why we're working to liberate this data and share it with the public.
